Getting married in the Florida Keys in Miami

Fantastic, beautiful white sandy beaches, the blue waves of the ocean and the warm colours of the Floridian sunset – this wonderful backdrop seems to be the perfect place for a dream wedding.

You can get legally married in Florida. The first step to marriage in Florida is the purchase of a marriage license. These can be acquired at every court in Florida. You will only need a passport (valid for a further six months) for the application and, if it isn’t your first wedding, you will have to provide information about the place and date of the previous wedding’s end – written evidence is not necessary. For the wedding to be recognized in Austria, Germany or in Switzerland, it is obligatory to apply for an apostille for the marriage certificate.

We’ll deal with the necessary bureaucratic affairs for you, so you won’t have to worry about administrative matters and can just enjoy that special day of yours in peace. Best men are not required in Florida, but it is possible to name two witnesses. Back in your home country, you can register the marriage at your local registry office.

What does a wedding in Miami cost? What does a wedding in the Florida Keys cost?

Unfortunately we are not able to give a general answer. If you include flights, accommodation and planning, you can reckon with upwards of €4.000.

We visited Key Largo together with our fantastic team – more specifically we were guests at Dolphin Point Villas, a newly-opened wedding location in the Florida Keys. Here you can say “Yes” exclusively and in private. With 10 villas in total there is space for 60 people to stay and up to 100 guests can celebrate and have a great time together.
